Queen of Martyrs Lenten Fish Fries are March 7-April 11. Come to OLA, 2222 Shopiere Rd., Beloit and enjoy the delicious fried or baked cod. If you are not a fish fan, you can order a substitute: our homemade four cheese mac & cheese. We will also have beer and wine available for a donation for you to enjoy with your meal. Serving from 4:30-7:00 p.m.

24 Hours for the Lord
Pope Francis has chosen for the 12th edition of 24 Hours for the Lord a particularly significant motto in this year of the Ordinary Jubilee of 2025: “You are my hope” (Ps. 71:5).
In the words of the Psalmist, we hear the resounding assurance that must dwell in the heart of every believer in the God of Jesus Christ, and that is well explained by the Apostle: “Christ Jesus, our hope” (1 Tim. 1:1). The love of God who always wants to come toward us and give us the grace of his forgiveness and mercy gives rise to hope in us as a gift of the Holy Spirit. In fact, forgiveness is the sign of love, its culmination, because it is offered to us as a free gift that allows us to live a new, “merciful” life, as Pope Francis says.
24 Hours for the Lord bears witness to precisely that. The purpose of the event is to put the sacrament of reconciliation back at the center of the pastoral life of the Church, and therefore of our communities, our parishes, and all ecclesial realities. This is the core of the Gospel message: the Mercy of God, which gives us the certainty that before the Lord no one will find a judge, but rather will find a father who welcomes, consoles, and also shows the way to renewal. Therefore, as Pope Francis stated, “[m]ercy gives rise to joy, because our hearts are opened to the hope of a new life” (Misericordia et misera, No. 3).
This year, as part of the our Diocese’s Jubilee Celebration, Bishop Hying is encouraging each pastorate in the Diocese of Madison to offer an extended period of Adoration and Confession between Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29. To that end, we will be offering special hours for Reconciliation:
Friday, March 28 - 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (OLA)
Saturday, March 29 - 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (St. Jude; bilingual)

We are overwhelmed with gratitude and joy at the incredible generosity shown by our St. Thomas Parish family and friends in supporting our Stained Glass Window Campaign! Your remarkable response has not only met, but far exceeded, our original goal of $175,000, with a final total of $204,637 as of December 31, 2024. This extraordinary outpouring of support demonstrates the deep love our community has for our beautiful church and its preservation for future generations. Each donation, whether large or small, reflects your commitment to maintaining the sacred beauty of our worship space.
The additional funds will enable us to complete the aesthetic finishing touches by painting the trim around windows that were not included in the original project scope. These restored windows will continue to tell our faith story through light and color, inspiring worshippers for generations to come. Your sacrificial giving ensures that the artistic legacy of our church will continue to illuminate our liturgical celebrations and remind us of God's presence in our midst.
